To help restore your body's natural balance
Working as a stress reducer in the nervous system, reflexology promotes beneficial effects on the whole body, leaving us with a sense of deep relaxation and balance. Regular reflexology treatments can encourage good health, ease pain, help our body to prevent disease and ultimately improve our quality of life.
Reflexology is a complementary therapy used to bring about balance to our whole body, to reduce stress, tension and anxiety, to promote good sleep, improve mood and sense of well-being and to help boost our immune system.
"...reflexology promotes beneficial effects on the whole body, leaving us with a sense of deep relaxation and balance."
Reflex points on the feet, or hands, correspond directly to organs and systems of the body. By stimulating these specific reflex points, a beneficial response can be produced within the corresponding part of the body.
Reflexology is a deeply relaxing treatment which is suitable for most people including babies and children. It encourages the various systems and organs of our body back to working at their natural level, and in doing so helps all the systems of the body work properly with each other. It does not claim to cure, but rather it aims to support you and your body through challenging times. It helps with relaxation and stress reduction, but as stress is key in many of our health issues or illnesses it is often found that these areas improve too.
Reflexology can be used as support alongside conventional medicine, to help prepare the body for successful conception and to support couples on their fertility journey. There is plenty of anecdotal evidence from women who feel they have benefitted hugely from reflexology throughout their pregnancy, and to help feel rebalanced again after birth.
